As the result of the request made by the parishioners, a convent of F.C.C. was started at Thermala on 20th May 2004.  When the  convent was established, there was no prevalence of a parish in that place.  Till the erection of the parish on 5th February, 2005, sisters were sacramentally nourished at Vellad church. Sisters  mainly involve in the parish ministry through catechism , pious organisations, nursery school, home mission etc.
